This will make the game look a million times better with two  texture reskin packs that beautify all textures in the entire game, including icons, UI and loading screen.

1. First, download the NextHD pack here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YJFetG_GD4Yt6gVXI4HKKazuFj8eCc7J/view?usp=sharing and extract it anywhere.

2. Apply 4GB Patch: open the folder and run the exe as admin, browse and select pol.exe in your PlayOnlineViewer folder and apply the patch.

3. Right click pol.exe and select properties: In compatibility tab, click change settings for all users, change high DPI settings, click override high DPI scaling behavior and pick Application in the dropdown.

4. Install DGVoodoo:

• Open the “FINAL FANTASY XI Config” application in SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\ToolsUS.
• Set “Resolution” to your screen resolution
• Set “Window Mode” to “Borderless Window” or “Windowed”.
• Download the Latest Release of dgVoodoo2 from: https://github.com/dege-diosg/dgVoodoo2/releases/latest
• Extract the archive to any location of your choice.
• You will be using only 2 of the the extracted files: dgVoodooCpl.exe and d3d8.dll (in MS\x86 folder).
• Copy the two files from the directory where you extracted dgVoodoo into your Ashita/bootloader folder.
• Run dgVoodooCpl executable as an Administrator.
• Under “Config folder / Running instance”, click “Add”. Navigate to the and select the Ashita/bootloader folder, and then click “Select Folder”.

• In the “DirectX” tab: Increase VRAM to one of the following: “Basic” (x2) HD textures – 2048 MB OR “Ultra” (x4) HD textures – 4096 MB

• Turn on DirectX texture filtering (anisotropic 2x)
• Hit Apply and/or OK to save your configuration to a dgVoodoo conf file in the selected folder
• Check if it worked. Launch the game look for the DGVoodoo watermark on the bottom right of your screen. If you see it, good! Go back and run dgVoodooCpl.exe as admin and in the bottom section, disable the checkbox for dgVoodoo Watermark and hit Apply and/or OK to save your configuration
• Done. There is no need to leave dgVoodooCpl.exe open or to run it before launching FFXI in the future.

5. Install Reshade: Download latest version here: https://reshade.me/ and put into reshade folder, run the new exe as admin, browse and select pol.exe (in PlayOnlineViewer folder), select DirectX 10/11/12, finally copy/paste the ReshadePreset.ini file into the PlayOnlineViewer folder.

6. Install XIPivot + Reskin Packs:

• Download latest version here: https://github.com/HealsCodes/XIPivot
  Extract the pivot folder to C:/TreasuresXI/Ashita/config and rename `pivot.sample.ini` to `pivot.ini` and from the same archive, navigate to the polplugins folder and extract pivot.dll into your C:/TreasuresXI/Ashita/polplugins folder
• In the NextHD folder we extracted earlier, go to XIPivot/Data and move the DATs folder to C:/TreasuresXI/Ashita/polplugins.
• Move the XIView folder from NextHD folder to C:/TreasuresXI/Ashita/polplugins/DATs
• Run the game and use the command `/pivot` in-game to open the configuration GUI. Make sure NextHD and XIView are both active if they aren’t already. Zone to apply changes.
